One Studio1 nominated artist will travel to Melbourne for a 3 day short space residency and weekend showing as part of Out of Bounds 2026 season with Lucy Guerin Inc.

Studio1 and Lucy Guerin Inc. offer a one week secondment for a Studio1 artist to join LGI work in development in Melbourne (Naarm).

In-Studio Residencies are funded creative residencies, providing dedicated time and space for artists to research, experiment and develop new or existing ideas.

Pitch Lab and Make It Happen are delivered in partnership with Dance Makers Collective.

Studio1 and Restless Dance Theatre deliver a multi-year collaboration focused on inclusive practice and professional development for artists with and without disabilities. Programs include artist development workshops, teacher training sessions and mentorship pathways.

A professional workshop program led by dance and physical theatre artists, supporting skill development, peer connection and engagement with diverse practices.

One-off sessions led by national and international artists explore a range of choreographic approaches and movement research.

Momentum is a Studio1 initiative for high school students, exploring dance and physical theatre through workshops that build creativity, confidence and connection. Led by Studio1 Artists-in-Residence, the program gives students direct access to professional artists and contemporary movement practices.

Testing Site is a curated showcase of short dance and physical theatre works by South East Queensland artists.

Force Majeure continues its partnership with Studio1 in 2026, delivering workshops for multidisciplinary artists, focused on physical theatre methodologies, devising processes and collaborative practice.

SCRATCH is Studio1’s afternoon scratch-showings where artists share works in development and participate in facilitated feedback sessions. The program supports peer learning and community connection.

Sandpit is a free cross art-form creative play series supporting experimentation and collaboration. Artists participate as movers or creators and engage in theme-based creative exploration.
