Pro Dance Workshops Series is presented by Studio1 in 2026, led by leading dance and physical theatre artists. The program offers professional practitioners the opportunity to engage with diverse practices and deepen their craft through close, practice-led exchange.
The 2026 program includes:
1 March, 2pm - 4pm | Martha Hincapié Charry - A gentle, attentive movement practice that centres listening, presence, and relationship to place.
16 July, 2 - 4pm | Lucy Guerin (Lucy Geurin Inc.) This workshop is suitable for dancers and choreographers. Participants will explore processes of developing dancing and choreography led by Lucy as well as through their own research.
Danielle Micich - Consent & Boundaries Workshop.
Joshua Thomson (Legs on the Wall)- Exploring physicality and storytelling in performance.
Noa Rotem - Workshop grounded in contemporary dance and Body-Mind Centering.
Bridget Fiske and Joseph Lau (Project Auske)- Focusing on interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative movement practices.
Larissa McGowan - Contemporary dance class for pre-professional and professional dancers which is is focused, energetic, and engaging.
