Why Your Support Matters
Studio1 holds space for artistic risk, development and experimentation in Brisbane. We are one of the only dedicated micro-arts spaces in South East Queensland supporting independent contemporary practice at scale.
Independent artists face limited affordable rehearsal space, rising development costs, few residency opportunities and little support for early-stage experimentation. Studio1 bridges that gap, helping artists move from ideas to realised works.
Your impact
This AusArt Day we’re raising $12,000, all of which goes directly to artists, funding residencies, studio access and development time they can’t get anywhere else.

$10 helps subsidise an artist’s studio access
$25 contributes to paid development time
$50 supports a week of artist development
$200 goes towards a funded residency
$500 backs a development lab or showing
