Studio1 & BlakDance First Nations Residencyis for Queensland connected First Nations artists to undertake a focused creative development in a culturally supported studio environment.
This residency is delivered in partnership with BlakDance.
Who it’s for
Open to First Nations artists or collectives ready to engage in a two-week creative development process.
What artists receive
Artists receive two weeks of studio access and cash contribution to the project.
When and where
One residency is offered annually at Studio1 in Meanjin / Brisbane.
Two weeks between June - December 2026.
Dates are flexible and open to successful application requirements.
