Studio1 Presents The Workroom Program 2024/5
The Workroom Program is a sector support + capacity building platform for Independent Dance, Physical Theatre and Multidisciplinary Arts in Meanjin/Brisbane.
Across 12 months, Studio1 will present a series of residencies, workshops, skills labs and showing opportunities to champion and uplift artistic development and research enquiry for Independent Dance , Physical Theatre and Multidisciplinary Art, locally, statewide and nationally.
In 2024/5, The Workroom Program features 9 bespoke programs, including 2 new opportunities at Studio1 and exciting new partnerships.
Studio1 champions safe spaces frameworks and actively encourages people from First Nations, LGBTQIA+, CALD and D/deaf and/or Disability communities to apply. MORE Art for MORE people is a fundamental value for Studio1.
The Workroom Program 2024/5 is supported through funding from Creative Australia and Arts Queensland. This funding provides unique and specialised opportunities for independent artists to create, experiment and explore.
