PATHWAY rESIDENCY

1 RESIDENCY - 2 WEEKS OF IN-KIND VENUE - $8000


1 Residency - 2 Weeks - 3rd - 14th of March, 2025 - $8000

The Pathway Residency champions disability led process + practice exploration for dance + movement artists. Acknowledging that collaboration and partnerships can amplify and uplift indie artists. 

The Residency dates run from the 3rd - 14th of March (Monday - Friday, 8am-3pm) 2025 + a Work In Progress Showing with Industry invites and connections.

Suitable for:

  • Emerging or established artists, with a disability-led practice, looking to deep dive into an existing project or body of work.

  • Research or art-form development around a new project related to physical practice or dance  

  • Artists or Collectives who are operationally un-funded

  • Artists outside of Metro Brisbane and Interstate, who are working and collaborating with Brisbane/Queensland Creatives in key artist roles. 

Artists are:

  • Remunerated at award rates

  • Provided with 2 weeks of studio time (as negotiated with broader venue needs)

  • Access to technical and venue gear available.

3rd - 14th of March 2025

Application close: Jan 6th 2025

  • A filmed or recorded application (no longer than 15 mins)

  • A live zoom interview application

  • An in-person interview application

Application process is through competitive Expression of Interest with accessible video, interview and support options available upon request.  Applications for the Studio1 artist are assessed by a selection of Industry Experts from South-East Queensland.
